ÄDKN Receives Non-Profit Status from the Tax Office

We are pleased to announce that the Egyptian-German Cultural Association in Nuremberg (ÄDKN) has officially been recognized as a non-profit organization by the Tax Office! We received this important certification on April 18, 2024.

What Does Non-Profit Status Mean?

The recognition of non-profit status by the Tax Office means that our association enjoys special tax benefits and is committed to pursuing exclusively charitable purposes. The Tax Office has reviewed our statutes and activities and confirmed that we meet the strict requirements of non-profit law.

Why Is This Important for Our Community?

  • Tax Benefits: As a non-profit association, we are exempt from corporate income tax and trade tax. This means that more of our revenue goes directly into our projects and activities instead of tax payments.
  • Tax Deductibility of Donations: Donations to ÄDKN can now be tax-deductible. This makes it more attractive for individuals and businesses to support us financially, as they can deduct their donations from their taxes.
  • Use of Funds: All income and donations will be used exclusively for the promotion of our charitable purposes. This increases the trust of our members and supporters in the transparent and purposeful use of funds.
