DESCRIPTION:On July 6th\, we came together as the ÄDKN community to celebrate summer with a joyful open-air gathering at Wöhrder Wiese in the heart of Nuremberg. With the sun shining and a gentle breeze in the air\, it was the perfect day to relax\, connect\, and enjoy each other’s company. \nThe atmosphere was light and welcoming\, with snacks and drinks provided free of charge by the association. We played simple games\, had great conversations\, and created a space where everyone – old friends and new faces – felt at home. \nThe summer fest was open to both members and non-members. For some\, it was their first encounter with ÄDKN; for others\, it was a great chance to reconnect. Non-members were invited to support the event with a small voluntary donation\, helping us cover costs and keep events like this accessible for all. \nAt ÄDKN\, our mission goes beyond cultural exchange – it’s about building a strong and supportive community. The summer fest was a great reminder of how meaningful simple moments can be when shared together. \nA heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the day so special.\n Stay tuned for our next events – more opportunities to connect\, celebrate\, and grow together. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Celebrating Eid Al-Adha with ÄDKN: A Festival of Togetherness
DESCRIPTION:On June 7th\, 2025\, ÄDKN brought the spirit of Eid al-Adha (Opferfest) to life with a cheerful community gathering at Marienbergpark in Nuremberg. Known as one of the most important festivals in the Muslim world\, Eid al-Adha has long become a celebration that unites not only Muslims\, but the entire Egyptian community – regardless of religious background. \nOur aim was twofold: to help Egyptians in Germany feel the familiar warmth of home during this special occasion\, and to introduce the meaning and joy of Eid to our German friends and neighbors. It was a beautiful day filled with connection\, culture\, and celebration. \nA Simple Picnic with a Big Heart\nAt Marienbergpark\, near the volleyball court\, families and friends met up with their own food\, drinks\, blankets\, and a few balls for games. Some grilled\, some played football\, and others just sat together and talked. It was a relaxed and friendly afternoon\, where everyone helped make it a nice gathering – similar to how we celebrate back in Egypt. \nA Celebration to Remember\nWe thank everyone who joined us – whether they came to celebrate\, to learn\, or simply to spend a joyful afternoon together.\n Eid al-Adha with ÄDKN was more than just a gathering – it was a moment of unity\, tradition\, and new connections. \nJoin us for more cultural events where the Egyptian and German communities come together – with warmth\, openness\, and shared stories.
